In late October, two graduate students of TWiST and Professor Chia-Li Wu were invited to attend the Young Women Scientists Camp in Daejeon, Korea, sponsored by KWSE.  Students were very excited about the events.  They brought a great variety of decorations to embellish the country booth, and also rented a set of Taiwan aboriginal ornaments for performance in the evening program.  Most of all, they made many friends, enjoyed the sisterhood, and felt much encouraged and empowered from the two-day camp.  Chia-Li gave a talk entitled “Be a STEM Woman in the Coming Society” to echo the Camp Theme- Future Society, Science, and Women.

In early November, both Chia-Li Wu and Shun-Lien Sung attended the INWES Board Meeting as well as the European Regional Conference in Freising, Germany.  In the morning of Dec. 10, a press party was held to celebrate the release of the book, The Sense and Sensibility of Woman Scientists and Technoligists (Literally), which includes encouraging stories from 37 woman scientists and technologists. In the same afternoon, TWiST Annual General Meeting took place with several sharing reports from international participants of TWiST members.
